MR. ANTHONY N. SABGA III is the Group Chief Executive Officer of the ANSA McAL Group, one of the Caribbean’s most diversified and influential conglomerates, with operations spanning beverage, manufacturing, distribution, financial services, media, retail, and automotive sectors across the region.
Appointed CEO in 2020, he is responsible for leading the Group’s executive team and driving its long-term strategic direction, ensuring sustained competitiveness, regional expansion, and global relevance.
A third-generation leader within the ANSA McAL legacy, Mr. Sabga III brings a forward-looking, purpose-driven approach to leadership. Under his stewardship, the Group continues to evolve, balancing growth, innovation, and portfolio diversification with a strong commitment to sustainable impact and organizational agility in a rapidly changing business environment.
Mr. Sabga’s career spans more than two decades across multiple sectors within the ANSA McAL Group. He began his professional journey in 2001 at Trinidad Publishing Company (now Guardian Media Limited) and subsequently held a range of leadership roles, including Executive at Head Office, General Manager at Classic Motors, and President of Carib Beer USA. These roles provided him with broad operational and international experience across the Group’s diverse business portfolio.
He later returned to the Group’s Head Office, contributing to several strategic initiatives, and progressed through increasingly senior roles before being appointed a Director of ANSA McAL in 2018 and subsequently assuming the role of Group CEO in 2020.
In addition to his CEO responsibilities, Mr. Sabga III has held Chairmanship roles across key Group subsidiaries, including within the Beverage Sector and Caribbean Development Company, reflecting his influence across core revenue-generating businesses.
Academically, Mr. Sabga III holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from City University, London, and a Master’s in International Business Administration from Regents Business School, United Kingdom.
