Sebastian Rodriguez, M.Sc is a Principal Executive for Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience within the Biodiversity and Climate Technical Advisory Directorate at CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean. He has more than 10 years of experience in the design, structuring, and implementation of projects financed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Adaptation Fund (AF), and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) across Latin America and the Caribbean.

He has led and contributed to the development of large-scale climate finance proposals, focusing on ecosystem-based adaptation, coastal resilience, water resources management, and the strengthening of climate information systems. His professional experience includes coordinating projects with ministries of environment and finance in more than 15 countries throughout the region.
He holds a Master of Environment from the University of Melbourne (Australia) and a bachelor's degree in biology from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). His expertise is complemented by extensive experience in climate finance, public policy, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, and nature-based solutions.
