Caroline Mahfood is Chief Executive Officer of the GraceKennedy Foundation, where she leads the Foundation’s environmental and climate action portfolio with a focus on marine protection, waste reduction, and circular economy solutions. She is the driving force behind the Kingston Harbour Cleanup Project, a national initiative addressing marine pollution and ecosystem degradation. Under her leadership, more than US$5.5 million in international environmental and climate funding has been mobilised to reduce plastic leakage, restore mangroves, and protect one of Jamaica’s most critical coastal ecosystems. This work earned the Foundation the 2022 RJRGleaner Honour Award in Science and Technology for Environmental Sustainability.

Caroline has shared Jamaica’s experience on regional and international platforms, including the Island Innovation Virtual Island Summit, highlighting practical approaches to sustainability in small island states. She also serves as a Board Director of Recycling Partners of Jamaica, contributing to efforts to strengthen national waste management systems and advance Jamaica’s transition to a circular economy. She is the Founder and Chair of the Jamaica Network of Corporate Foundations, co‑founder of the Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance, and a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps
